I don't take issue with anything else you said but this.
Titles haven't displayed a player's skill in forever. Not since heroes were released in NF and EotN PvE skills.
If you want to see a player's skill, you need to give them a complex role and observe them doing it several times. That doesn't happen in PvE anymore due to PvE being laughably easy and straightforward.

OP says he's 34, the people that went out of their way in game were probably young teen kids. I think the adult wins in the situation, but suggesting ban is a bit far. Anyways I side with the OP being the more awesome and still stick to him being better @ Real life than those little punks bad mouthing his name around. No one goes out of their way to annoy someone unless they really don't like them, the little kiddies in game need to learn to take jokes, 'specially online.

There is no solution for griefing in this instance, because it's not really griefing. If someone is baiting the people who are causing problems for them, it's not griefing. It is simply a dispute.
This thread isn't about finding a solution to a griefing problem, it's about trying to get people banned over a mutual conflict and seeking a shoulder to QQ on.
NOTE: To others reading this post, this thread is highly edited, so much of what's in this post may seem like wild supposition if you have not seen many of the deleted posts. If even just the posts by the O/P were re-instated, this would be much more clearly visible.

Really, the game is bigger than trivial little e-spats like this. OP just needs to get over it.

...ok? What does this have to do with anything? I haven't had problems with getting into groups and I'm only an r3.

I have made a simple list to respond to your post
-Deal with the shame and look for invites instead of sitting around
-Get into a high-end pve guild that knows what they're doing
-Take responsibility for the comments you make in an online game.
-Stop doing SoOSC.
Take your pick, though personally I prefer the third option.

This is a game that you can mostly play completely solo, and youre bothered about what other people think about you? if you were a mature player, anything that other people say wouldnt affect you in a video game.
If I were to take everything that people said about me in this game seriously, I wouldnt have made it past 6 months. Ignore them and carry on. Your biggest error was playing with other people in the first place.
Normally, playing with others in an online game is meant to be a great and enjoyable experience. In Guild Wars, playing with others is about as fun as shoveling a donkeys manure into a large bag with your bare hands, as this thread is another fine example of.
Also, you cant get blacklisted in GW. Such a thing doesnt exist.
Yea, and I cant take that 'only rank 4 koabd title' seriously. Most people dont even have rank 1.

The fact the OP has blown such a small thing out of proportion is kinda troublesome. Same goes for the griefers in game. It's a good thing they blacklisted the OP. Both sides will never have to deal with each other ever again. Everyone wins.

I think the reason we have all these bitchy type of ppl that are short tempered is because they are obssessed over getting title hunting, zkey farming, gold farming, etc.
Each time his/her team fails to complete the SC or whatever, that person gets more and more angry and frustrated. It goes on to the point where they become dickheads about simple jokes or simple mistakes.

lol at anyone who takes this game seriously enough to even create a blacklist... I mean its a just a game...
A few weeks ago, I was doing an FoWsc and one of the warriors had to leave because of a real life issue. He leaves and the monk immediately starts yelling that everyone should put him on a "blacklist". Several others in the group are like "yea!" or agreeing in some way or another.
The fact that people like this even play the game is why I never speed clear anymore. There are just so many arrogant elitist players in these areas who take the game way too seriously.

Bah. The people who do SC's regularly know who and who not to take. A bunch of whiny losers crying foul won't turn anyone's head. When I got CoF runs regularly I maintained a blacklist and compared it to the lists of others. I bet SoOSC peeps do the same. Give people a chance to be decent human beings. They'll surprise you.

I've been playing for almost four years and I just now got to rank 3. Titles mean little.
Anyhow, GW is a big world. Unless you're a "celebrity" like Gaile or Linsey, it's safe to assume your accusations won't have far reaching consequences.

Sounds like the OP got countertrolled pretty hard. From what I've read, he seems like a dick. Serves him well.

Last thing you should ever base an opinion of someone on. Many sins are people's alts to do various SC's with, there's no point grinding that much crap out on a character you rolled just to farm with. To be perfectly honest I think you're pretty shallow for that statement.

No. People still bot in CMs and haven't gotten banned enough, they're not going to ban a couple of speed clearers because another speed clearer had a petty squabble with them.

Go to the In-game store from the character selection screen. Its 14.99 USD (Not $10!), and not really worth it.

Don't do it yourself. Don't make crap remarks about wanting an "exp group only" - half of your group will be new at whatever you're doing and lying to you. Don't title rank discriminate. *points up*
Or just stop doing SCs.

If something is considered a joke is all in the eye of the beholder. So you may have intented this to be a joke, obviously the "receiver" did not consider it a joke.
This whole thing kind of sounds like the story of someone who shouts "bomb" for fun when boarding for a flight.... I bet the security personel will not see that as a joke and the consequences for you will not be that funny either. And you can tell them afterwards as often as you want that it was meant as a joke, but that won't get you out of your situation.
So I hope this whole experience is a lesson learnt for you, don't try to pull of jokes, that might be considered offensive, with someone you don't know.
